Betaglucans from
bakers’ yeast
More than 30 years ago, key EderaGen personnel were pioneers in discovering the properties of beta-1,3/1,6-glucan derived from cell walls of bakers’ yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) and developed them as commercial products. Since then, these complex compounds have been described and understood in detail, especially how they contribute to strengthening the innate immune system in multiple animals and in humans. In addition to being thoroughly documented in a large number of scientific publications, decades of practical experience has been acquired with beta-1,3/1,6-glukan in food supplements.
In Norway, beta-1,3/1,6-glukan as a supplement is available from the abovementioned pioneers, here .
